The Russian Front is really good too but it's a different concept in a way. I think CC2 A Bridge Too Far is the best one. Question to Mabzie, are you still able to run the older releases on current operating systems? I can wholeheartedly second Mabzie's recommendation at that price. Alternatively, I see that the original releases of A Bridge too Far and The Russian Front are for sale on ebay in about the $10-$15 Aus price range. I did find a demo of A Bridge too Far on Abandonia, a few years ago (edit: not there anymore, will keep looking). I think their pricing is extraordinary (I have purchased one myself and find that the changes have lessened my enjoyment). However, judging from the prices you quoted, you are probably looking at the Matrix re-releases of those games. The two instances cited by Mabzie are the best in the series. The releases after "the Russian Front" have an element of turn based army movement. Is there any demo? I would like to give it a try. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.846 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
